Rwandatel claims 120,000 subscribers in three weeks

In three weeks since launching GSM and W-CDMA services, Rwandatel has gained 120,000 customers. As of 21 December 2008 the figure represented the company’s total number of active subscribers, according to CEO Patrick Kariningufu. The cellco hopes to achieve 600,000 customers by the end of 2009 as it expands the networks nationwide.
