Malaysian mobile network operator, DiGi and Microsoft have started offering Windows Live Messenger (IM) to DiGi subscribers with a free two-month trial. Subscribers can access the service via mobile phones apart from desktop PCs, smartphones and PDAs.Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, DiGi's Head of Consumer Marketing, said: Out of 26 million mobile subscribers in Malaysia, over half a million are regular Mobile Internet users. Through innovation, our customers have been enjoying rich mobile experiences at best value. We are confident we can generate even more data traffic as our customers can now have full integrated IM mobile experience. He added: Our customers can connect to their buddy list of contacts and share interesting aspects of their lives the moment it happens. They can pass on where the coolest places are or share their thrilling experience at a concert.
