China Telecom starts 3G CDMA2000 trial in Shanghai

China Telecom has launched its 3G CDMA2000 trial services in Shanghai, writes Interfax. China Telecom aims to start 3G CDMA2000 commercial operations across China by mid-April. At the moment, only China Mobile has commenced 3G TD-SCDMA commercial operations, while China Unicom is likely to kick off its 3G WCDMA service in May.
